Serious Play
Welcome dear visitor,
This webspace is created as part of user studies/game proofing, read on to know more about the project and do give feedback (please scroll down) .
Interaction Design Year 2 students at the Umeå Institute of Design and IDEO teamed up for a fun filled project and Serious Play is the name.
Read on to know more about the game, it consists of three simple challenges.
The challenges:
1. Using the useless stuff laying around your house (school) create something useful with them.
Rule: You are not allowed to buy or destroy useful stuff.
2. Choose a habit or a thing you do and would like the whole world to follow, and try to spread that knowledge.
Tip: Conquer the world
3. Locate returnable bottles or cans lying around your house (school) or collect from your friends. Return them to the store where you get money for them and buy something fun or useful for the EXACT amount of money you got.
Tip: You can buy used stuff from a store or from friends.
General rules:
A. The game ends on Tuesday noon, submissions after that time are not valid entries.
B. We need proof of all your efforts, make sure to document (take pictures, receipts and what ever) and send it to sisirnath [at] gmail.com.
your work will be put to vote and winner will be announced by Wednesday noon. If you feel like participating in the game use the contact form to inform us about your willingness. or if you feel that this is not interesting at all then please leave your comments (at the bottom of the page) and let us know how we can make it interesting.
Good luck and have fun.
Just read your post. I kind of support your views though there are two to three points which I don’t think I would agree with what you have said. The best part of it is the way you have written the stuffs. The language was easy to follow and your style was appealing. English is my second language and you have done a good job avoiding jargons and difficult phrases. Keep on writing more posts. PS: I have already subscribed to your blog’s RSS feed.
